Get #blog readers by getting a niche. Create and maintain a niche, and your readers won’t be missing.

Do you know your own mind?

I’m sure your immediate answer is, “Of course, I do.”

Well, that’s great.  Then, maybe your blog has a niche.

Excellent.  With 164 million blogs out there*, your blog has got to be standout strong, so strong that it will not only standout from the crowd, but warrant your readers to send their readers to you.

According to recent statistics, 77% of Internet users read blogs.  This post will ensure they are reading your blog.

That all starts with finding and maintaining a niche.

Why Nobody Reads My Blog

Good God, this blog is doomed.

Today I read somewhere that in order for a blog to be successful, it must focus on a single topic. If the blog is cluttered and talks about anything under the sun, nobody will read it.

Gasp!

The name alone of this blog is already 3 things. And I talk about other stuff too, especially recently with major changes in my life ~ becoming a full-time housewife, relocating to an exotic country, keeping fit, crochet…. I even allow Fridays for (what is apparently) the kiss of death: “preoccupations”, a.k.a. anything that strikes my fancy.

Drats!

So I stopped for a while to reflect on what my blogging has done for me so far:

⭐ I am getting to know myself better while learning to express myself.

⭐ I’m discovering many interesting, absolutely amazing individuals kicking ass in their own worlds – and learning from them. (And hey, most of them seem to be just as ‘unfocused’ as I am, truth be told).

⭐ I am having fun.

Best of all:

⭐ I do have a growing number of followers. They may only read some of what I post, but by choosing to follow this ‘unfocused blog’ they have given me the “you’re doing good, have fun!” thumbs-up sign.

And that, dear blogosphere, happily floats my boat ❤
